Our basement waterproofing solutions in Grand Island, NE, Hall County Include:

Interior Basement Waterproofing and Drainage Systems

Sump Pump installation – Using a subfloor pit called a sump “pit,” water is collected and pumped out of your basement away from your home using a sump pump.

Drain tile – Drain tile is piping buried under your slab near the basement wall that collects water and carries it to the sump pit.

Vapor barriers – A vapor barrier is any material used for damp proofing. This is usually a plastic (polyethylene) or foil sheet that can resist moisture diffusion through the wall.

Egress Windows – Egress windows create a safe exit in case of an emergency in your basement and allow water to disperse safely. Most homeowners prefer to install a new egress window during their basement waterproofing project instead of waterproofing their old window.

Basement crack repair – Cracks in your basement wall can be repaired using an epoxy or polyurethane substance, preventing future water intrusion. Epoxy crack injection is not a solution for major structural problems.

Exterior Basement Waterproofing and Drainage Systems:

Yard drainage – Curtain drains ensure that water uphill from your house is intercepted and channeled away from it. They prevent water from pooling next to your foundation, stopping it from leaking inside your basement.

Exterior waterproofing membrane – This keeps water away from the foundation wall and prevents water or moisture from getting inside. It’s applied to the outside of the basement wall and below the ground, typically used when interior waterproofing is not practical such as in highly finished basements.

Exterior foundation drain (or a perimeter drain) – This PVC perforated pipe consists of tiny holes or slits that allow water to enter the line to channel it away from the house.

Window well drainage – This prevents water from building up in your window well like an aquarium. A drain is installed in the window well that ties into an interior drain tile, leading to the sump pit.

Downspout extensions – These dump water further away from your home and prevent it from seeping into the soil around the foundation.

Underground downspout and sump pump discharge extensions – These transport water away from your home into a bubbler pot. After pressure builds in the bubbler pot, the lid opens and distributes water evenly across your yard.
